there is a post about slash fiction on metafilter! i'm loving it! i commented too, but i didn't mention there that i am so very happy for the wonderfully literate, insightful, and well-spoken proponents of slash that are out there. one large part of my taste for slash is the pure, gleeful pleasure i get reading it in light of every gender studies class i've ever taken. slash does so give the finger to the masculine patriarchy that runs the world. rock on. and bravo to matt, mr. metafilter, for being not at all reactionary about the genre. |
