i've been reading. i read three romance novels of little note, and then i read anne rice's merrick, which was pretty terrible, too. i've joined a gym, a very nice one with very shiny equipment: gold's gym. i never thought i'd say this, but it's worth the extra money. i've gotten more used to my job and like it more now: the low stress level, the lack of professionalism which is tolerated, the escape from the corporate rat race. i'm going to spend the weekend in las vegas. it will be nice to get away for a little while.

i also got a thousand-dollar check in the mail from the unemployment department. oh, that was nice. well, that's about all for now. i've got to return a phone call. toodles!
