12:36 AM:
i'm going to miss the olympics now that they're gone. my late nights will be empty without the coverage, and then the reruns of the coverage, that brought something new into my home every day. if not simon amman and ski jumping, then apolo ohno and short track, or speed skating, or michelle kwan and figure skating. for seventeen days there was something uplifting on television every night. there was human drama more real than any reality show. there was television that wasn't made by marketers for a demographic as, face it, frasier is, and friends is, and just shoot me and er. thank god, right? something that's good for us. something that Mom would approve of us watching, instead of television candy that rots our teeth, or mind, if you will. ahhh i'm going to miss all that. two long years until the summer olympics come and we get to do it all over again. Olympics, i will see you there.

2:42 AM:
terror has got a song. did you know that? it's radiohead's "i might be wrong":
I might be wrong
I might be wrong
I could have sworn
I saw a light coming home
I used to think
I used to think
There is no future left at all
I used to think
Open up, begin again
Let's go down the waterfall
Think about the good times and
Never look back
Never look back
What would I do?
What would I do?
If I did not have you?
Open up and let me in
Let's go down the waterfall
Have ourselves a good time
It's nothing at all
Nothing at all
Nothing at all
