12:02 AM:
mhm, cute guy down at the jewish deli. i could see some fantastic cheekbones under the hood of the sweatshirt he was wearing, as i was on my way out. do you ever get that sort of half-smile, where you don't want to let on you're smiling, but the subject is just impossible to frown at? ahh, i half-smiled at him as i walked out the door. he did a double-take.
a real beater of a car parks next to mine in my carport now. there was some cardboard (or severely rusted metal sheeting) hanging off its undercarriage, and the windshield is, well, shattered. i got less concerned, however, after i overheard its owner talking to to Luis, the slightly eccentric, old but spry spaniard that lives in apartment one: "she doesn't look like a lot, but i'll have her fixed up in no time." i also caught said owner lovingly polishing its trunk in the driveway saturday. sometimes people are just so lovely.
is Presidente brandy any good? it tastes good.

..wond'ring in the night
what were the chances
we'd be sharing love
before the night was through?
but the best part is the fact that "dooby dooby doo" are acceptable song lyrics...
